Music for Film and Television
Bio
A quick bio so as not to bore you silly -
My passion for playing instruments started at the age of 11 with the Highland Bagpipes. By the age of 13 I wrote my first composition for that very instrument. Luckily the Pipe Major of Royal Scots liked it too and I’m honoured to say that he asked me if he could include it in their repertoire to play at future events around the world. I’m proud to say they did.
After studying at music college I soon realised that what I had learnt there I could take home and create a musical landscape of my very own by using sound equipment that didn’t break the bank. At college I knew then and there that this was what I really wanted to pursue. All I needed were the tools, the courage but above all….creativity, in order to take this further and be a part of this wonderful art form of music composing.
I have a passion for creating, recording and experimenting with sounds. With that, I relish finding ways to marry those sounds together into something interesting and unique that will compliment a picture.
The joy of creating music and experimenting with sounds is that by trial and error (and by having lots of fun in the process) there will be many more beautiful combinations that have yet to be discovered.
